Salud, Paz & Comunidad: A Celebration of Connection and Healing at CLUES

Last Thursday, January 30th, CLUES St. Paul hosted the Salud, Paz & Comunidad reception, a heartwarming event designed to inspire connection, healing, and reflection as we move further into 2025. The interactive art exhibit, created by queer, trans, non-binary Puerto Rican artist Cándida González, invites visitors into a space of creativity and intentionality. With two installations that encourage conversation and community-building, the exhibit aims to be a catalyst for personal growth and collective empowerment. As a nonprofit dedicated to serving Minnesota’s Latino community, CLUES once again demonstrated its commitment to providing spaces that uplift the voices and wellbeing of all.

We heard from artist, teacher, and organizer Cándida González, who spoke about their intentions and purpose behind the exhibit. Learn more about Cándida here. The evening also featured a guided activity led by Celina Martina, where guests were invited to set meaningful intentions for the coming year. This thoughtful exercise was the perfect complement to the exhibit, providing a moment of reflection amidst the energy of the interactive art. Attendees also had the chance to connect and engage in conversations with others who share a passion for community.

The reception was a positive space for everyone, from young adults to seniors. Whether through art, intention-setting, or community interaction, the event allowed attendees to recharge and feel supported as they transitioned into the new year. The welcoming environment reflected CLUES’ core mission of creating spaces that support growth, healing, and empowerment.

If you haven’t yet, I highly recommend checking out the Salud, Paz & Comunidad exhibit, which will remain open at the CLUES St. Paul gallery until February 15th, offering an opportunity for those who missed the reception to experience this powerful art installation. With a mission focused on advancing social and economic equity, CLUES continues to serve as a vital resource for the Latino community and all individuals in Minnesota, making spaces for growth, leadership, and connection.
